Bank of Ireland UK recently hosted a special lunch forJohnson Brothers (Belfast) Limited, Ireland’s oldest family owned award–winningcoffee roasting company, to celebrate its centenary and an almost equally longand successful association with Bank of Ireland UK.   Johnsonsbegan business in 1893 selling and distributing  grocery and importedgoods  at a time when Belfast streets were filled with horse–drawn carts,and in 1913 started roasting fine coffees for sale into local grocery stores,cafes, hotels and restaurants.  A few years later, it began its bankingrelationship with Bank of Ireland, one which has flourished over the last 93years.  The company recently increased its production capacityby 30% following the installation of a new packaging line and they haveemployed additional staff to cope with increased orders from a customer baselocally, in Great Britain and as far away as the United States of America &Dubai.
